How many more business leaders are going to leave because of this administration? Any guesses on how many want to work under a dictatorship like the one Obama has created?

This raises an interesting question:

Didn't I just recently read something about plans by this administration to begin taking over businesses.....large, small, and everything in between.....if THEY determine that those businesses are not being run, and/or profiting, to acceptable standards?

The acceptable standards, of course, being what the obama government decides they are and not specified whatsoever.

If my memory serves and this is what I understand it to be, wouldn't this sudden departure by Wagoner.....at the request of obama.....be keeping in line with that and indicative of such a plan?

This is consistent with the socialist goals of changing our country into a communist state. There is nothing in the U.S. Constitution that allows for any of this to occur, but Obama, his cabinet, and the Congress are not obeying any parts of our law from my observation - the Constitution just doesn't exist as far as they are concerned.

This is why I believe we do not live in the United States of America anymore. We have in recent months and years experienced a quiet takeover by the socialists, and we now live in the lawless land of the socialists.

Fortunately for America, all of this lawlessness by our own government is becoming increasingly evident to a larger portion of the American populace - but these are the same people who let it happen in the first place, so all bets are off as to what THAT will mean long term.

And that leads into the final question: What are we going to do about our runaway government?

The takeover talk came from Tim Geithner; it was directed at any kind of financial firm if the administration thought it could "imperil the world" and they mentioned banks, insurance companies and brokerage houses.

He made a comment about how he hopes things get taken care of in the ballot box because he is afraid of what will happen if they don't. This allegedly incites violence, just like my previous post on another thread about how I am afraid my neighbors will be getting their torches and pitch forks ready over the stimulus bill is an incitement of violence. I am beginning to wonder just whose side some of these mods are on.

That's a classic line, all right. Good reading in that article too. The more sensible observers over in Europe are saying NO WAY when Obama asks them and their own governments to endorse a comparable percentage of GDP "stimulus spending" that the USA is embarking upon. How old is that maxim: "Never in the history of the world has a government spent its way out of poverty." .......?? The inter-generational transfer of that bit of wisdom seems to have missed a step.

The latest "411" on the topic of the natural born citizenship issue finds this article from the AP, trying to lay the whole thing off on racism (once again). Give me a break!!!

Disproved and disputed claims about his religion and citizenship, namely untruths that Obama is a Muslim and isn't U.S.-born, zip across chat rooms and dominate the blogosphere. Fringe critics largely are responsible for perpetuating the lies, but even elected officials have raised them.

All that underscores how the accomplishment of one man who broke the highest racial barrier hasn't entirely changed the dynamic of a country founded by slave owners. It also shows how far the nation has to go to bridge its centuries-old racial divide. In truth, Obama probably will continue to be dogged to some degree by entrenched stereotypes and viral fallacies.

In an argument popular on the Internet, Obama's critics claim he is ineligible to be president because he is not a "natural-born citizen," as the Constitution requires. Critics assert that his Hawaiian birth certificate, which Obama's campaign posted online last summer, isn't authentic and that Obama was actually born in Kenya, his father's homeland.

A federal judge threw out a lawsuit questioning Obama's citizenship and said the case was a waste of the court's time. But that hasn't stopped such allegations.

In February, an Alabama newspaper reported that Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., was asked during a constituent meeting whether the Obama citizenship rumor was true. According to the account, he said, "Well, his father was Kenyan and they said he was born in Hawaii, but I haven't seen any birth certificate. ... You have to be born in America to be president." Shelby's aides later said the senator had also said he was confident Obama is a citizen.

Florida Rep. Bill Posey, a Republican, has drafted legislation that would require presidential candidates to submit their birth certificates, a move Democrats say is intended to question Obama's citizenship. Posey's measure led the Florida Democratic Party chairwoman, Karen Thurman, to send a fundraising e-mail accusing Republicans of "smearing" Obama.

Meanwhile, I'm now learning that the article out of Uganda from early in 2008, and this information recently posted in Pakistan are not isolated instances where Obama is described as either born in Kenya or a citizen of "some other country" (Kenya or Indonesia, and in "present tense"). There apparently were many publications which were in print in Africa and in parts of Asia which stated -- going back to late 2007 -- that Obama was born in Kenya, or that he would be the first "citizen of Kenya" to be elected to an American presidency. It's a tough sell to me to argue tha people who started that information in circulation (Ugandans and Pakistanis) are somehow "racist". Huh?

Americans, in all of this, seem to be the 'last ones to know' the rumors that the rest of the world has discussed from a long while ago.
