I spoke to Sen Tom Colburns office a little while ago. Found out a couple of interesting things.
First....they are frustrated. They have NOT yet received the legislation. Are you kidding me? It is Friday late afternoon! They have to vote early next week for Cloture!

He said, he is getting a LOT of calls and it is preaching to the choir but it is okay because the Senator will not vote for any kind of Amnesty and it is rumored that this has Amnesty in it...even though they can't say for sure cause...........

THEY HAVE NOT YET SEEN THE BILL!!!!

Just called both of Durbin's offices.

Washington office - person said that DICK hasn't issued a statement. He'll consider it over the weekend. Well I let him know how I felt about this wonderful new bill.

Chicago Office - The sweet young thing who answered the phone was kind enough to read to me something off of DICK's website. It was the usual drivel. I let her know I feel in no uncertain terms. She assured me that "everything gets passed on to the senator"....
