The latinos are giving their lives not because they love this country but because they want to become legals together with their families to "get a better life" not because they want to be just a Patriot American.
They want to profit, to make money to send to their country of origin, buy real state over there and when they retire , they can go back, with the retirement pension from SS
They will countinue always to be loyal to their birth country.

This issue is not about "race" because every "race" on the planet is part of the illegal immigration problem into the United States.

I don't care if they're Mexican, Colombian, Pakistani, Egyptian, Israeli or fresh from the streets of Dublin....they are illegal aliens...they are not supposed to be here...and they ALL and I MEAN ALL need to go home now before they are roughly deported and all their belongings confiscated to pay for the cost and effort of deportation.

I've had it with the overpopulation of our nation this Nonsense has created; I've had with their Whines and Sob Stories; I've had it with their breeding and asking US to pay for the birthing; I've had it with their enrollment in our schools; and I've had it with their invading our physical space, our territory, our cities and towns and job market.

This could lead to the same kind of strife going on between Israel and the Palestinians. Matter of fact, they have made that comparison. The Arabs won't accept anything less than Israel abandoning their country since they see them as interlopers. They are embarrassed and jealous over the success of Israel and the fact they still live in squalor. It distresses me that our leaders have NO vision. They don't seem to care about what happens in the future. They are too busy twisting themselves into knots trying to please everybody and not offend anyone.

Latinos are following exactly the pattern of those immigrants, both legal and illegal, who came before. ..... and it is the same route travelled by immigrants to this country since the beginning.

Mbrlr, I don't agree with this. The present situation is very different in that we are experiencing a huge influx of people from a single country - Mexico primarily (~60%), which is directly contiguous to US territory. This makes it easier for people to come illegally, to go back and forth, and to remain tied to Mexico. If this was not the case, why would Mexico extend voting rights to their nationals living here, provide matricula consul cards, and scream bloody murder at our need to erect a fence?

Additionally, illegal immigrants are disproportionately poor, uneducated, and unskilled. Past waves of legal immigrants were from a variety of countries, not overwhelmingly a single country, and many brought special trade skills with them, allowing them to earn livings and to prosper, and not to have to be supported by entitlements and health care paid for by citizens.

Regarding the racism remark, this is simply ignorance on your part if you believe that those opposed to illegal immigration are racist. You are not the only one here who has a Hispanic family member.
