I wonder if MTV will help lead the way for more American kids to start coming home from school looking like this?

Joelous,
Please tell me this?
When visiting the LDS, are you quoting the words from "THE" prophet?
Had too much experience with those who have eyes which look behind eyes. May also be called, brain washed?
Unless you know the full history, study it thoroughly, and know what things those you questioned believe such as shedding another's blood (those who don't believe the same way they do) in order for them to save you from yourself; I think you're speaking from the UFO's sphere! Preach to some other choir.
Line up wherever the heck you think you should be. Dumb quest for facts if you ask me. Not that you have, but you'll get my input nonetheless!
Everyone is free to believe as they so choose tis true. At least our government can't take our thoughts away from us, at the stage of this present tragic game.

Well bootsalinda, it's good to be an American, I am free to believe that what the Bible says is absolute. It also allows me the freedom to say, that I will never stop talking about it, it is not an extremist view, it is the same view the founding fathers had when they signed The Constitution.
To be honest your opinion of apocolyptic, thus Christain fundamental beliefs being extremist is exaclty the reason we pulled our kids out of public education. We did not appreciate the idea of our childrens minds being polluted with socialist rhetoric.
Here is a quote from Samuel Adams to Arthur Lee in 1771, "Revelation assures us that 'righteousness exalteth a nation.'"
The Biblical book he spoke of is the same on that talks of much "end time" prophecy. Our founding fathers had these very same beliefs and talked much about it. It is just that we have become such and anti-Christian nation, and in this it is solely towards those with Baptist, Evangelical and the like with fundamental belief backgrounds.
I do expect this type of attitude in our society, when socialistic and communistic ideas have begun to pervade our society to the point that a person with Biblical/moral objections to something like biometrics is called and extremist.
So be it, I am extremist. I will continue to stand up for what is right and to call out that which is wrong. Biometrics, even in the guise of identifying illegal aliens or green card holders, is wrong, because next it will be you and I do not want to see that in your future. Then the government will use it to punish those who dissent, they will ban those of us who speak out against things, from even being able to work and eat.
Read it bootsalinda, you might find it a little bone chilling, good reason to think twice about those of us who have read it when you say extremist. We love America and all it ever has been. We want to see it stay that way."In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, Brave, Hated, and Scorned. When his cause succeeds however, the timid join him, For then it costs nothing to be a Patriot." Some follow, some lead. Making up one's mind due to the sway and opinion of others is not being one's own self. I listen, read, explore, and decide for myself. I don't take someone else's educated guess or am swayed by the popular opinion. That's why the President is having so much problem by not leading, he is following. One Voice Speaking Loudly ~ ~ ~ Judymd

Then when people find out just what the Media means by extremist, they find out that the media has been lying to them, in some cases for years.
The "extremism" that Christianity promotes includes:
The right to own Private Property
The right to raise your children as the parent decides
The rights of the people to hold their government accountable
The obligation of Politicians to serve the people who elected them
The right to Freedom of worship
The right to Freedom of speech and Freedom of Assembly
The right of the People to decide their form of government, and for the government to do what the People want - through representation
These are all the standard things that the Founding Fathers believed.
The point though (still found in most Public Schools these days) is often to make people afraid of Christianity, by suggesting that Christians will OBLIGATE someone to believe what they do.
But the facts about Christianity (real Christianity) do NOT back that up.
The decisions of a spiritual nature, are the very decisions that Christians believe SHOULD be LEFT up to each individual. That christian belief means respect for each person's right to make up their own mind.
So if they are not going to force people to have those beliefs, Christians are obviously not going to force others to believe as they do in other areas.
(Of course, Christians do not want to be compelled to adopt the beliefs of others, and that is what Communists and Socialists usually demand, and try to impose their own will on others).
The values that Christians Cherish - are the same values that Most Americans cherish.
It can take quite awhile though - to become de-toxified to the lies of the Media.
For years and years, the media has been telling us that Immigration is no big deal, that we need to be tolerant of this invasion, that we should condemn ourselve for believing in hard work, private property and government accountability.
Much of the Media is constantly censoring itself to be sure that the facts are Not reported. But then there is the Internet that helps to spread truth, and the Mainstream Media resents this also.
GHLet's be brutally honest: THe Only thing that matters is when you force Politicians to STOP and PAY Attention to You. Its time to think about ways to do that.

The Book of Mormon teaches that a lost tribe of Israelites known as the Lamanites landed on the American continent in 600 B.C. and they are the forefathers of the native peoples of Mexico and Central and South America.
Many Mormons see the tens of thousands of Latin American immigrants who have arrived in the seat of the church as guided by the hand of God in order to be converted, critical players in an unfolding religious tale of biblical proportions.
"Mormons have the Book of Mormon, and the Latin American, aboriginal ancestry is relevant to their views. Those notions, if sometimes misunderstood, are at least widely held," said Cannon, a four-term congressman and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
"The Mormon Church has taken a position that is pretty clear. They are a proselytizing church, and they view the people coming to Utah as a great group of people to convert," Cannon said.

Mormon polygamists fled to Mexico in the late 1800s to escape prosecution. They practiced plural marriage there contrary to Mexican law. Later, during the Mexican revolution, their children returned — undocumented, Solorzano notes — to Utah for work
Also check out...according to the LDS church immigrants are God's chosen people..

Unlike many Anglo members of the church, Faria, along with a growing number of LDS Latinos, believes that his personal exodus fulfills a larger Mormon prophecy. Faria believes that his crossing into the United States, a beacon of spirituality in the LDS faith, is part of a biblical prophecy. In 2004, there were 8.4 million undocumented Mexicans and Latin Americans in the United States, 55,000 to 85,000 in Utah alone, said Armando Solorzano, who teaches ethnic studies and family and consumer studies at the University of Utah, citing a 2004 Pew Hispanic Center Report. That wave of modern immigration is a sign of God’s gathering of the Children of Israel, Faria said. Faria said that the discord of illegal immigration in the United States is part of God’s plan. “There are fabulous things coming for the immigrants,” he said, “but for this to happen, they have to suffer. In their path, there must be opposition. Everything exists in opposition. The night for the day, the darkness for the light. We don’t know what good is unless we know what bad is. We can’t know success without failure.”
Maybe George is right, God has spoken to him about illegal immigration and has told him that they are his chosen people<....Karen says tongue in cheek.

Bush is using the fact that he is a good Christian to promote doing the right thing for Illegals. I heard him speak that language last night as he took a ride in a dune buggy at the border. He is trying to sway all Christians with that arguement.
This is why I believe it is odd to throw religion into the mix on this issue, regardless of what I believe. There are many varying interpretations of the Bible and Churches that practice there own brand of Christianity. I like the idea of freedom to worship the one you wish.
Mexican Illegals are Christian too, and look at their behaviour - they know they are being dishonest.
I find it funny that you all are preaching to me. I am not going to speak of my belief system on this forum. I sure as heck ain't going to "Witness".
Know this- I have no problem with Christianity. You don't need to shove it down my throat. I don't get my spiritual opinions, or opinions on extreme views from the Media or the Politicians who use it as a smoke screen to push their issues for the "good of the people."
I like the idea of Separation of Church and State. Then the waters (issues)don't get muddied. A lot of Politicians using Christian Rhetoric to drum up votes, when they don't exhibit an ounce of Christian Values and Ideals.I'm "Dot" and I am LEGAL!

I think that many people have woken up to the fact that Bush is simply using Christian terms to manipulate them, and that they are starting to understand that his agenda is very different...much closer to a borderless world without rights, constitutions, or nations.
