The Senate is now voting to table Alexander's amendment having to do with the Real ID Act.

Alexander's amendment would increasefunding for a grant program that helps states comply with the Real ID Act.

Ayes-48 Nays-46

The amendment has been tabled (killed) and won't be part of this bill.

Has the Senate suspended working on the HS bill? Are we on another thread? Just got back in.

That's weird I checked email and jump to the thread and the times were weird. I Logged in and the times changed after I posted. ummmm???

Welcome back, gogo. No, the Senate is still working on amendments for the HS bill.

OK good. I was beginning to work on a alpha list of the Senators and Reps when Dixie helped me to find the alpha list. We newbies need easy instructions LOL when we're in the heat of battle.

Lately, it seems like all we do is battle these politicians.

At the appropriate place, insert the following:

SEC. ------. TSA ACQUISITION MANAGEMENT POLICY.

(a) IN GENERAL.--Section 114 of title 49, United States Code, is amended by striking subsection (o) and redesignating subsections (p) through (t) as subsections (o) through (s), respectively.

(b) EFFECTIVE DATE.--The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act.

That's because we are all more aware of the antics now. We're in the information age, CSPAN, Internet, Talk Radio, emails. Information is flowing so fast and hard. Lets face it the information is on OUR side not theirs.
