I can't believe they are agreeing to these amendments without text and without letting the people know what is in them. They just agreed to one of them without any debate. Didn't catch whose amendment it was.

Still not much, if any, information on these amendments they are bringing up and voting for. It's rather maddening.

I know, Zeezil. It's frustrating because we want to trust these guys, but it's kind of hard, considering their past history.

I just called Sen. Dole's office. She is on the same page as us, and is opposing any form of amnesty. Extra points to her for opposing Lifeguard Ted's "hate crimes" bill ,as well.

Sen. Burr is the one I worry about though. The person I spoke with was very non-committal in regards to the Senator's position. He flip-flopped on the monster amnesty bill. He seems to be the typical, wishy-washy politician.

illegal aliens being apprehended in traffic stops, etc. are being let go

Sessions said that everytime he has introduced legislation before that would work, the Senate always wanted to work on immigration policies that don't work

We 800,000 state and local law enforcement officers and they are out there everyday.

If they come acros someone they think are illegal they can take the appropriate steps as long as they are trained

Sessions has trained 60 officers in his state

51 million set aside in this program for training but they are using it for that

6 weeks of training . . .it's not enough

state and local enforcement should be compensated for taking that officer off the street for 6 weeks
