The guy deserved it It was unprofessional and against I am sure corporate policy to send an email of that type of vulgarity and under company email no less. Maybe he should have read his employee handbook and this would not have happened to him

I am glad this type of person is a "former employee" as they do not need this type of employee speaking for their newspaper. All emails sent on corporate email servers do represent the company and most companies do fire people who abuse it as was appropriate in this case.

I don't think Mr. Don Lowery is going to be very pleased when his name shows up in the top ranks on Google leading to this documentation of his forced departure from his job.

However, he was making a political, albeit vulgar, statement as a reporter as an employee of this firm and we are under no obligation to keep that a secret.

As long as our information is accurate, we can leave this thread up.

This guy not only lost his job today, but he did so in a way that his downfall by his own hand will be archived here at ALIPAC and widely available on the search engines.

This guy sounded like a teenager who for all his might can't come up with the words to properly express himself and resorts to foul language instead.
But this guy is supposed to be a professional journalist! Someone who is not only trained in the English (presumably) language, writing, and journalism, but also taught to be objective.

This publication did right to fire him. That is one embarrassing email.
