This is so true and on peoples minds constantly. As for feeling "oppressed"....it is not because of my skin color, it is oppressed and picked at politically for my conservative beliefs for this country, by flaming liberals and socialists who use tactics in which they hope to intimidate conservative, patriotic Americans with, and get them to back down.

As for why the people of Israel are "hated"...it is Biblical history that will teach you this. As an "Christian" (love that generic term, I am an Independent Fundamental Baptist), I feel that the Jews play a significant role in God's plan, they are His chosen people, and believe I am to always respect that.

The Jews, from time memorial, have been hated and persecuted, the Bible talks about it in the Old Testament, and New, and how it would continue till the end times. The battle between the Arabic and Islamic nations is due to, well a sibling rivalry (see story of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar).

Hollywood types seem to be on the bandwagon now for some reason. It is becoming sickening.

This Gallagher is an ivory tower idiot imho. If the xenophobic hate is taught at home, in the hood, in church, in soccer, and in the community - the children learn it well. So His children will be unprepared for the wave of racism that will hit them. Gallagher ASSumes that other groups want the same thing that he wants. They do not.

AmericanElizabeth, I agree with your perspective on it. I find it so unbelievable that after all these centuries that we would still be stuck with this. Lots of other folk find it unbelievable too - so they make up other excuses. The Bible is true.

I agree with that statement. It's similar to the CAIR organization which purports to speak for Muslims in the U.S. Who elected this group to speak for them?

My opinion is that most people of any group just want to live in peace, raise their families, go to work, etc. But those who have an agenda of their own stir up trouble, foment resentment, and get all the attention.

That's not to say that there aren't legitimate concerns and problems. But we as a nation should be able to have a rational and honest discussion and really listen to what the other is saying, try to understand their POV.

When you have the Attorney General of the U.S. referring to one particular group of people as "his people," it is really disheartening. ALL Americans regardless of race or ethnic origins should be "his" people.

I have often wondered what the people that run these groups would do for a living if the groups that they start didn't exist. There is a lot of money to be made in "activism" at the top. The heads of LaRaza, LULAC, NAACP etc.are doing pretty well. JMO

Welcome picklebutt. Quite a nickname there

I got my nickname after running like heck from over 200 geese running at me (maybe they thought I was a piece of bread ) After which my friend started teasing me about running faster than Forrest Gump and thus my nickname.

Steve likes to tease me about that now via the goose thing.
