Our society survived the New Deal and I hope that we have not gone too far. I fervently believe that the only thing that will save America is for Americans to get back to making and doing things, not just buying and hiring foreign all the time. Did you see the Immelt article where he recommends we get back to 20% manufacturing?

Betsy, you are correct. If Obama fixes the economy, the birth issue will be moot. Do you like the direction that he is taking our economy? Let's review a few things that will shed some light on where we are and where we might be going based upon O's campaign promises and actions to date.

New fiscal responsibility: Takeover, bailouts of our auto industry, financial sector, and if he has his way, our healthcare industry. Trillions in NEW debt. Who's paying for this?

Open and transparent government: We the people were to be able to review all major bills, provide input through town halls, etc. so that regular people would have their say in how our money was to be spent. Result...bills rammed through in the dark of night, people threatened and bullied if they didn't fall in line..well, you get the point. Oh, by the way, Mr. President, can we have just a little peak at your birth, college and passport records? No?

An end to partisanship and divisiveness: Republicans completely shut out of discussions in preparing a healthcare bill that will have a major impact on 1/5 of the U.S. economy. Rushing it through, unread by anyone, before the August recess. Dismissing massive rallies across the country (Tea Parties) as extremists and radicals. Increase in incidents of a racial nature ie; Professor Gates. Sotomayor, etc. Name calling, mud slinging, threats ad nauseum.

A shiny new U.S global reputation: Cozying up to dictators, apologizing for the U.S., insulting our military, giving citizen rights to terrorists, kicking a key ally, Israel to the curb in favor of a Middle Easter dictator. I could go on.

Tax cheats, communists, crooks, liars and thieves...all being appointed to key cabinet positions. Dozens of "Czars" with NO accountability except to Obama. Constitutional?

I refuse to fall in lock step with what's happening under this administration and anyone who does should be ashamed! We have socialism being shoved down our throats and are being held in utter and complete contempt by these people.

Produce the documents. This man is sworn to uphold the Constitution, he should be willing to show his records openly. This may backfire on Mr. Obama and his people, including the media, because anger and frustration are growing, as the many YOUTUBE videos of town hall meetings show. When a man is unwilling to satisfy growing questioners, and he is taking the United States on an ever apparent socialist path that has nothing to do with what our founders envisioned or desired for us, there should be inquiry into his allegiances. Videos are surfacing of his past speeches that show his plan for us as a nation.

What are the intentions of ACORN, the SEIU, the United Nations, and other socialist type organizations so closely aligned with the Obama people, as it applies to the United States?

Many conservatives and liberals are debunking this story, but it does create wonder when a man who wants to be the leader of the free world will not "freely" reveal any of his past records.

Betsy, I agree, our manufacturing base is in deep trouble. I have seen it first hand beginning back in 1982 to the present. I helplessly watched as my company shipped an entire manufacturing line to Taiwan. This has been going nonstop since that time. Texas Instruments, Motorola, Dell, HP, IBM and on and on. We have become a service industry and are losing our technical and manufacturing capabilities.

Highlander, I didn't really read your last paragraph..or at least really think about it. I was just thinking about Google and my experience with them over the years and I realized....I have NEVER seen this kind of warning on any website, EVER. Have I just been lucky? I doubt it. In the past my computer has been attached a number of times by various malware and I never received a Google warning of any kind when visiting the site. You are right, Google is in the bag for the Dems. Just saw a report supporting your assertion. This should be a BIG wakeup call to those who think Obama and his cronies are harmless. The evidence is right in front of our eyes.

If America elects a woman president soon, right now her name appears to be Hillary Clinton.

In a hypothetical match-up between the two most formidable female candidates in their respective parties, Clinton defeats former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin 51% to 39%, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of likely U.S. voters. Seven percent (7%) prefer some other candidate.

Is there a real story to track regarding where Obama was born and his records?

I have been called many names, Islamaphobe, Homophobe, racist and now birther. I and others leading the charge to find the truth about who Obama is and where he was really born are called Right wing extremists and now we have a special category of scandal and strangeness…..we are BIRTHERS!

I am planning to break ground on a museum highlighting all my assigned syndromes, mental illness , domestic terrorist classifications and stigmas. It will be a very large and grand building highlighting the many labels with beautiful lighting.

For some time we have seen the media big dogs completely avoiding the issue of where Obama was born and if he complied with our constitutional requirements about being born in the U.S. Bill O’Reilly has poo poohed it for some time on his national show, while others pretend it isn’t there or worse. Recently, even Glenn Beck on his show, while visiting with Michelle Malkin mentioned talking mostly about czars, “I have to tell you, the - I mean, first of all, the birther thing, what are you going to do. Even if it was true, what, are you going to take him out of office? You can’t do that.â€
