We must wash our hands of Lou Dobbs today.

As a paying member of ALIPAC and a resident of Arizona I must comment on this discussion. I used to be a fan of Mr. Dobbs but he has become very disinginuous about his position on immigration. After listening to this interview I find he is talking out of both sides of his mouth.

We have to gain full control of our borders and access of employers' payroll records before we even think about admitting foreigners for any reason.

    William Gheen/Lou Dobbs Radio

Mr. Gheen, Just listened to your conversation on the radio with Lou Dobbs. Sounds to me like it is time to stop supporting Lou Dobbs. He apparently has changed his tune on amnesty. I have watched Lou on CNN for the last couple of years and have never heard him say he was in favor of "a path to citizenship" for illegals in all that time. As you pointed out to Lou, had he said that on his CNN show, we would have known about it. It was ALIPAC'S support and many other like minded Americans that made Lou popular in the first place, mostly based on his anti-amnesty and other views that have now fallen into question. Seems to me like he has fallen into that trap where he thinks his popularity now allows him to say anything he wants without repercussions. I also got the impression that he doesn't take ALIPAC'S support very seriously. I was impressed with you Mr. Gheen, excellent job taking Lou to task. I totally agree with your views, as do the majority of Americans, thats why I am an ALIPAC supporter. Keep up the fight.

I did not hear your exchange with Dobbs because you have to subscribe to his web site to hear it but I gather he said that he had been for some sort of amnesty or "pathway to citizenship" from the very beginning. Had that truly been the case I'm certain organizations like yours and FAIR would never have embraced him. If that were the case, he would be no different from Bush or McCain.

I fear Lou has sold his soul for the outside chance of a senate seat in New Jersey. I think his admission that he became conservative after 9/11 is very telling. Anyone who hasn't solidified his or her views by age 50 is prone to falling back into their old ways. A drug addict is clean and sober until you wave the coke under his nose. Lou's opium appears to be political office.

DUMP DOBBS NOW!! He can do his thing - we will do ours. We are
on the right side of this issue; a majority of Americans want NO Amnesty.

I say close the ALIPAC Dobbs website now - we must not promote his political views to our current and prospective supporters.

Let's not pussyfoot around our stated position, on Immigration and Amnesty, just to be politically correct by having a continuing dialog
with Lou Dobbs. We've got far to much work to do to defeat the
Socialist Obama agenda on "Immigration Reform" to bother dealing
with the moderate views of the few.

No Phil you don't have to be a member of the Dobbs site, look to the upper left of your screen there is a link to interviews. Click the start button. Don't use the one a little further down the page that has a picture.

Sadly I must change my mind about Mr. Dobbs. I, along with fighterDC and a few others said to give him a chance. After listening to your interview with him and he stated that he has never called for deportation of illegals I was shocked. Maybe we were all under the impression all these years that his strong stance against illegal immigration meant he was for deportation.

Mr. Gheen when you made the statement about if so many (10,000 hypothetical) illegals were given citizenship under Mr. Dobbs's "certain circumstances" you should have mentioned also the chain migration of their families to here from wherever their home countries are located that they could then sponsor in addition to the jobs they would be taking from our citizens..

I now need to withdraw my financial commitment on the L.D. support site.

I am now 68 and have no grandchildren, etc. so I think this mid-term election I will vote in order to get rid of Arlen Specter and the 2012 to get rid of the zero in the White House - after that i will have to see if there have been any decent political candidates that are showing up on the scene.

    Good buy Dobbs!

After listening to both the Telemundo interveiw and the Dobbs/Gheen radio broadcast I can no longer count Mr. Dobbs as a champion to fight illegal immigration. We have been waiting for 23 years for the promised enforcement of the 1986 Amnesty. We must have enforcement first and no amnesty. The only reason I will continue to follow Mr. Dobbs is to fight against his position on amnesty.

I have listened to the Dobbs interview on his radio program.

It is very, very clear that Dobbs is reversing course on what to do with illegal aliens in this country. His comments were as blatantly two-faced as you can get.

Dobbs went so far as to suggest that we are extremists if we believe that all illegal aliens should leave this country.

We do need to part ways with Dobbs on this, and right away. The sooner the better. He has become just another politician.

BTW I have never cared for Dobbs in the first place. I think he is a simplistic blowhard stuffed shirt.

This is what I think also. Have you ever heard of the term Judas goat? I don't want anything to do with what Lou Dobbs is doing. This really does look like a ploy to split us up and end all opposition to amnesty.

A Judas goat is a trained goat used at a slaughterhouse and in general animal herding. The Judas goat is trained to associate with sheep or cattle, leading them to a specific destination. In stockyards, a Judas goat will lead sheep to slaughter, while its own life is spared. Judas goats are also used to lead other animals to specific pens and on to trucks.[1]

The term is a reference to the biblical character Judas Iscariot.[2]

The phrase has also been used to describe a goat that is used to find feral goats that are targeted for eradication. The Judas goat is outfitted with a transmitter, painted in red and then released. The goat then finds the remaining herds of feral goats, allowing hunters to exterminate them.[3]
