I saw the news story on fox the day it came out. On here as well. My point again, If he feels he is in such danger why put himself out there on the talk show circuit? Why not lay low for a while when he feels the danger has somewhat subsided? He must not feel he is in that much danger, He went on Telemundo for gosh sakes.

Mr. Dobbs certainly won't get my support after watching this... and I am a New Jersey voter. He has obviously become a politician and in true politician's form has now become wishy-washy. Did I hear talk of amnesty? Amnesty is not in my vocabulary. Upholding the law is!

Because most of them are angry about your pandering, as are most ALIPACers. Thank-you Dobbs!

Though this is a longer thread than usual, I think there are proportionately many more recruits than usual. There are new ALIPACers on almost every page. There are nine new recruits just on the current page, that have joined in the past three days! Their first posts were on this thread.

YEA!!!!! Welcome to all new recruits!!!

Now Dobbs, we'll see if you can save yourself and have all this support for yourself, instead of having all this as your opposition. Not to mention also the $600,000+ dollars ALIPAC has worked hard to get donated for your election campaign, much of it donated just since you quit CNN a couple weeks ago!!

See the potential here Dobbs??! All this is yours IF and only IF you can adequately clarify to ALIPAC and/or William Gheen, ALIPAC President, your questionnable comments to the ethnocentrists.
I join in saying Welcome to the newcomers (at the risk of being considered a 'newbie' myself as I have only been a member since Aug. 200.

Now. Everyone who is as upset as this contributer - go to "Lou@LouDobbs.com" and let him know that you are a member of ALIPAC and that you are very confused, disappointed and angry at the way the Telemundo interview went. While it is important for us to have a place to vent, complaining any more here isn't going to let Lou know how we feel. We can only do that if we email him en masse to make a constructive and massive impact on Lou as to why he needs to contact William Gheen immediately to set up an interview, preferably a televised one that each of us can see to make up our minds as the Telemundo video did massive to damage our future relationship. We have the voices - we just need to use them in the right place. We are strong enough to help Lou mold his campaign in the way WE feel it needs to be molded. Of course, we can't make him feel the way WE do - if he chooses not to - but this is exactly what we need to know, sooner, rather than later. He said he was going to Florida and while there would be talking with 'people' who will help him decide in the direction he will go. William Gheen needs to be one of those people (in our collective name.) EMAIL LOU TONIGHT!
Redoaklady - I already DID email my comments above to Lou Dobbs. But glad you suggested everyone send him an email at Lou@LouDobbs.com. Guess I was hoping he or one of his assistants might check out the comments here, being posted at record numbers, since Dobbs surely knows what ALIPAC is. Afterall, ALIPAC HAS raised $600,000 for his campaign.

You can also send comments in the form of a question for his show, access by going to his official website, LouDobbs.com

Redoaklady - You had asked in previous post about setting the time correctly for central time. Did you see my post on last page about this? I'm on Central time also.

(I'm just curious - If you joined ALIPAC in Aug 08, almost a year and a half ago, why would you consider that a "newbie"? I consider that a long-timer!)

Builditnow - you and I have thought to send an email directly to Lou asking him to explain himself - many others probably haven't - or have just emailed the vast disappointment they feel now.

I just always seem to be a step behind somehow when it comes to computers. I did go to my home site as suggested and changed it to -6 for central time. It STILL came up screwy. I went back and FINALLY saw the bottom line that said "SAVE CHANGES" lol ! Now, lo and behold! mine works right, too.

As far as the "newbie" reference - a comment I made the other day welcoming all the obviously brand new posters got a "welcome to you, too, newbie, I've been here several years". That's ok - I just think people are irritated enough already here - I don't want to add to discomfort in any way to anyone's personal problems or irritation, lol.

topsecret, you didn't need to pull your post my friend! We all wander off-topic from time-to-time. The trick is not wandering too far.

Rest assured the mods would have pulled your post (as well as a couple of mine) were it necessary. The watchdogs here are ever-vigilant and tireless in their work, and kudos to them for the job they do.

Besides, you linked up some good information! Keep doing it, just go to the "discussion groups" link and pick the appropriate place to start a new thread. You can be sure there are a multitude of eyes searching for information here at ALIPAC so share what you learn and don't be stingy with the information.

I too have noticed the recent spike in traffic and would like to welcome all the newcomers!

One caveat though folks...Has anyone considered the possibility that some of the new traffic might be directed here to shoot Lou Dobbs down on the steps of the court of public opinion? We are in a struggle against a pretty crafty bunch, and even some ACORN staff are witty enough to Google up ALIPAC and pose as friendlies. Don't make too much out of the recent enthusiasm until you see it translated into positive action. I would think that pro-illegal types would love to damage ALIPAC and Lou Dobbs, and driving a wedge between the two could certainly motivate someone to come on here and hammer Dobbs as if they were ALIPAC supporters.

How's that go again? "The enemy of my enemy is my friend"?

Myself, I'm going to sit back and wait for Dobbs to contact William or vice-versa. I don't expect a complete revelation of Mr. Dobbs' motives, but he absolutely did that interview for a reason and why will indeed become clearer with the passage of time.

Lou Dobbs has been misreporting on the fence

Lou has been giving phony figures on the border fence for a long time, exagerating the type and length actually built. Americanpatrol.com has had articles about this misinformation and I was told that dobbs was in the tank to Chertoff on the fence back in the bush administration. The fence was not important for some reason to dobbs and he buried news on the lack of it's construction while at the same time talking about the out of control borders. Well Lou, I guess we needed a fence, didn't we? Redemption is already too late for Lou, he has made a "laughingstock" out of himself in one fell swoop. The headlines of the Wall Street Journal read "Lou Dobbs Now Supports Amnesty". Well Lou you are a champion Mr. Flip Flop and if you were thinking about public office you just lost your base. Adios Amigo Lou

This wasn't caused by ACORN and personally NOW I don't care what they think. The important thing is that people are coming to the right place where we can unite for LEGAL immigration. I'm glad they come and don't blame them one bit for their disappointment.

That certainly could make for strange bedfellows and is a saying that doesn't hold true for me. Also, at this point it's hard to say who Dobbs considers to be an enemy.

I would also like to welcome all newcomers. Hope all of you will stay and help us fight Illegal immigration and Amnesty. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes Tiredofapathy, I have noticed well over 100 first time posters and many more with less than five post's. I have had some of the same uneasy feelings. I'm hoping these feelings are because there are so many out there that would like for all of us to just shut up and go away...Which is not going to happen. In the mean time I will just hope that we have all these new members and be grateful for them. shad
